No problem, it is extremely common that our marquees are attached to the back of houses to create more space. We have special gutter equipment to ensure a watertight join and a wealth of experience to deal with whatever style of home you have. In rare instances it may not be possible, so do mention when having your site visit that you would like the marquee connected.
Yes the wall of windows can easily be unlaced and drawn back in a curtain style manner. If need be it is easy to re-lace the windows should the weather take a turn for the worst.
Unfortunately this is not possible. The tiniest hole in our delicate linings can lead to tears and rips appearing resulting in expensive repair bills. There are many ways to attach your personal decorations to the marquee and our on site staff will be happy to help.
All of the items that are hired from us meet the British standard of fire resistance. Candles are permitted to be used in marquees however extra caution is advised when doing so.
We always work on a first come first served basis and it is extremely common that we sell out of marquees in our busy summer months. Our advice is that you book the marquee as soon as you know that you would like to choose Monaco as your supplier. For wedding and larger events a minimum of 6 months is recommended however it has been known for us to book a wedding marquee with three weeks notice!
Of course, your order can be adjusted up to one week before your event. Small alterations can be changed right up to the last minute depending on availability.
Yes, for smaller structures we are able to weigh the marquee down using huge concrete weights. For larger structures we will have to drill the marquee into the concrete using bolts, the divot created by doing this can be filled in when the marquee is dismantled.
Getting the power right for your event is absolutely crucial, our experts can advise whether you will be able to use power from on site sources or if you may need a generator. This element of your event can be looked at and discussed on your site visit. If the case is that a generator is required then Monaco have very strong relationships with suppliers in and around Surrey who will be able to provide competitive quotes. We will also be on hand to advice on the size of generator you will require.
If there is any concern at all we always recommend that you hire one or possibly two of our thermostat heaters. Even in the summer months the evening can become chilly so it would be worth considering installing a heater. We are always on hand to help with advice about the number and the size of heater you will require.
Included in the standard marquee price, one length side of windows will be included. Extra windows can be added to the quotation at your request for an additional charge.
If the marquees are left up more than four or five days and depending on the weather it has been known for the lack of oxygen to kill the grass being covered by the marquee. If only for short term hire it is unlikely any damage will occur. If there is a particular concern the flooring can be laid closer to the event minimising any risk of harm to the lawn.
Our marquees have been manufactured and tested to ensure that they are totally waterproof. The roofs are also checked on a regular basis to ensure that no holes or tears have appeared.
Absolutely, we have many years experience in erecting marquees in awkward spaces. Although not possible 100% of the time we will try every avenue before looking at alternative spots to erect the marquee. The marquees can be erected over ponds, swimming pools and other challenging obstacles. To be absolutely sure book an appointment for one of our experts to conduct a site visit. This is the only way to know if it is possible to erect the marquee in your desired location.
If you need to cancel your booking more than 28 days before the event date, your deposit will be refunded minus 20% to cover administration costs (£50 minimum). You will be contacted the week before your event to arrange a delivery day and time that suits you. For larger events such as weddings it is often that a delivery time will be organised months in advanced especially if the venue has specific timing requests.
This will be arranged when the delivery date and time has been finalised. Usually pick up days are either Monday or Tuesday for weekend events, however we can be flexible if you need a specific collection day.
Once you are happy to place your order with Monaco Marquees, we will provisionally book it in for you. The booking is not confirmed until we have received a 20% deposit of the total, this will be invoiced for. If your event is within 7 days of booking the full balance will be required to confirm your order.
